The participants of the preparatory week have been determined in the first exam based on their knowledge and their ability to logically conclude. The second exam is to identify those students who are willing to make an extra effort for the participation in the IBO. Nearly one third of the participants of the second phase will be invited to take part in the SBO Week.
Who can participate in the second phase?
All the students who have successfully passed the first exam can take the second exam. Attending the preparatory week is no requirement. However, it has shown over the past years that it is hardly possible to be selected for the SBO Week without the intensive courses of the preparatory week. It is important that those students, who wish to take the second exam without attending the preparatory week, register for the exam.
Where is the second exam held?
The second exam is simultaneously held in Bern, Lausanne, Sargans and Breganzona.
When does the second exam of the SBO take place?
The second exam takes place in the end of January. The exam starts at 9am and lasts up to four hours.
